What are Immune Deficiency Disorders (IDD)?

IDD are conditions where the immune system is compromised and unable to protect the body effectively. The immune system normally works by fighting off bad bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. However, in a person with IDD, the immune system is compromised thus leading to an increased susceptibility to infections and illnesses.
Symptoms can vary but often include recurrent infections (e.g., pneumonia, sinus infections, and urinary tract infections), weight loss, diarrhea, fatigue, and headache.

Infusion Therapies

One of the key causes of immunodeficiency is a lack of antibodies that fight infection. However, with infusion therapy, immunoglobulins can be added to the bloodstream to boost the immune system.
